Of course, I haven't played WOW in a few months but when I come back I won't be getting that mount. One of the funniest things I saw was in IronForge a gnome had an epic elekk mount instead of going over the bridge to get from the AH to the bank he decided to jump let's just say the elekk didn't make it. Don't misunderstand me - I adore gnomes and everything associated with them, but after doing a midsummer gold fetching journey all over the place I realized how much I HATE the sound of the mechanical striders. It makes me go nuts, to be honest. Now I'm SO happy with my horse. It's not entirely silent, but it's a comforting, smooth sound which doesn't annoy me at all. I understand you completely on the elekks. Getting stuck all the time is humiliating. Just like being a gnome, unable to jump over some obstacles... I just did the same rep grind the other day to get a horse for my gnome.
